The Character Design artist is Kazuyuki Hoshino. The sound director is Yukifumi Makino. Sonic the Hedgehog CD can be played in Sega Mega CD, Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Nintendo GameCube, and PS2. It was first released on 23rd September 1993 in Japan. In Europe, it was first released in October 1993. In North America, it was first released on 19th November 1993. The PC version was released on 9th August 1996 in Japan. In North America, the release date for the PC version is 26th September 1996. In Europe, the release date of the PC version of Sonic the Hedgehog CD is 3rd October 1996.
The characters in Sonic the Hedgehog CD are Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose, Metal Sonic and Dr. Robotnik. Sonic the Hedgehog CD is the last sequel in the series of game for Sonic & Knuckles. There is not much difference between Sonic the Hedgehog CD and Sonic 3. In this game, Knuckles is a good guy. You can also play as Knuckles. The special moves of Knuckles include gliding, wall climbing and wall bashing. Tails are not one of the characters in this game. If you choose to play as Knuckles, you will have a different mission. The mission of Knuckles is to vanquish the Metal Sonic which will attempt to drop a bomb on you. Knuckles had special abilities that Sonic don’t have. For example Knuckles can get the power ups that Sonic can’t. Despite that, Knuckles cannot jump as high as Sonic. To win the game, Knuckles must beat Robo Sonic in Sky Sanctuary zone. If you play as Knuckles, the game will be shorter.
If you choose to play as Sonic, your mission is to destroy Dr. Robotnik. According to the story, Dr. Robotnik has discovered the whereabouts of the great emerald called master emerald. He had hidden the master emerald in a palace which is guarded by Knuckles. If Dr. Robotnik gets the master emerald, he will be able to use to dominate and conquer the world with Death Egg. Dr. Robotnik’s plan is to follow Knuckles to the place where the master emerald is hidden. The last stage of the game takes place inside the Death Egg. You will find several strong characters in the Death Egg. It is easier for Sonic to get the emerald compare to Knuckles because Knuckles will have to take a different route. If Sonic successfully obtain all the emeralds, he will have the ability to change into Super Sonic.
When you succeed, Dr. Robotnik will be destroyed for good. If you lock on with Sonic 3, you can play the zones of Sonic 3 and S & K. You can also play Sonic, and Tails or Sonic and Tails or Knuckles. Tails can be found in zones of S & K. Knuckles can be used in the levels of Sonic 3. You will also be able to collect fourteen emeralds throughout the game. In addition, you can become hyper sonic or hyper knuckles. A hyper sonic or hyper knuckles will be surrounded by stars, with white glows and can also jet forward.
