My daughter is known throughout the family as being a little princess and she knows everyone adores her as well! Her eight birthday was coming up and I really was struggling to think of what I should buy her. All presents I had bought in the past, were either discarded after a couple of days, or I could see she really was not impressed with them. I wanted something that would last and also delight her.
It turned out to be quite harder than I thought. I had searched all the shops as well as reviewed gift shops online. It seemed the trend for kids gifts was either electric good or craft sets, of which she liked neither.
I had retreated to the garden with a drink, so I could clear my mind and think of more ideas. It was then, that I watched a little boy go by. He was in a small pedal car that was yellow and resembled a taxi. He was pretending to a be a taxi driver and looked to be having the time of his life. I wanted to know more about pedal cars and called out to his mother who was with him.
The boys mother was more than happy to tell me, how delighted she was with the pedal car. She had struggled before buying the pedal car, in that her son never wanted to go anywhere and just wanted to stay in the house watching DVD’s. A soon as she bought the pedal car, he wanted to go everywhere with her, including the shops and park. She was spending more time with her son now, than ever before.

It was enough to convince me, that the perfect present for my daughter was a pedal car. I thanked her and rushed off back inside to switch the computer on and search Google again.
