- Hand Forged Swords - The Metaphysical Strength of Coal Fire, Anvil, and Steel By:-Ben Rial
I think that a fragment of the bladesmith’s soul is imparted into each blade. The age old craft of forging blades carries a portion from the spirit of each blacksmith into the creation. The romance of the bladesmithing occupation, heaped within mystery and secrecy for eons, imbues a certain metaphysical essence into the steel. A substantial amount of people perceive the difference between a hand forged sword and a machine prepared knife. There is a definite transformation in the sword, and the perceptible change I observe even within myself while forging a blade. It is as if a quantity of me is imparted into every sword I forge. Could it be the legendary abilities of such famous swords as Zulfiqar and Colada is derived from the soul and hands of the smith that made them.
- Hand Crafted Swords - The Metaphysical Force of Coal Fire, Anvil, and Blade By:-Ben Rial
Can it possibly be that a small fragment of the bladesmith's mettle is contained within every knife? Perhaps the ancient saga of the blacksmithing occupation carries with it small portions of every bladesmith that has taken up the craft of metalworking? That one way or another a certain psychic element implants the energy of the metal worker in each knife he has fashioned. Is that on the whole romantic nonsense? Conceivably, although then again, perhaps not. I can’t avoid but become aware of a change whilst I hammer on a blade. As if in a certain manner I transcend and become one with the coal fire, steel, and ringing hammer, even if it is merely a transitory sensation.
- Hand Forged Knives - The Metaphysical Energy of Hammer, Forge, and Blade By:-Ben Rial
Can it possibly be that a little piece of the bladesmith's mettle is contained within every knife? Mayhaps the long history of the blacksmithing occupation takes with it small pieces of each bladesmith that has undergone the craft of metalworking? That one way or another a certain metaphysical force imparts the energy of the blacksmith in each blade he has fashioned. Is that completely idealistic garbage? Conceivably, but then again, perhaps not. I can’t help but notice a difference when I hammer on a blade. As if in a particular way I transcend and feel as if I have somehow, in some way or manner joined with the conflagration of coal fire, metal, and hammer, though it is merely a short-lived feeling.
- Handmade Knives - The Strength Within the Hand Crafted Sword By:-Ben Rial
I think that a portion of the bladesmith’s spirit is hammered into each sword. The ancient profession of crafting swords takes a portion from the energy of each bladesmith into the craft. The idea of the blacksmithing occupation, heaped in mystery and secrecy for centuries, lends a certain spiritual component into the steel. A wide variety of persons detect the dissimilarity between a handmade knife and a machine made blade. There is a definite difference into the blade, as well as the perceptible change I observe even within the smith himself when forging a blade. It is as if a component of me is imparted into each blade I forge. Just maybe the almost metaphysical abilities of such famous swords as Curtana and The Seven-Branched Sword is derived from the spirit and life force of the smith that forged them.
- The Force of Hand Crafted Knives By:-Ben Rial
Might it possibly be that a small portion of the blacksmith’s spirit is imparted within each blade? Mayhaps the long history of the blacksmithing occupation takes with it tiny pieces of each bladesmith that has undergone the art of the hammer? That one way or another a particular psychic force endows the energy of the smith in each blade he has produced. Is that entirely romantic foolishness? Maybe, although then again, perhaps not. I cannot help but notice a transformation while I labor on a sword. As if in a particular manner I transcend and feel as if I have somehow, in some way or manner joined with the conflagration of coal fire, metal, and ringing hammer, though it is simply a momentary sensation.
- Hand crafted Blades - The Influence of the Blacksmith's Art By:-Ben Rial
Might it possibly be that a small fragment of the bladesmith's mettle is contained inside each knife? Mayhaps the lengthy record of the bladesmithing profession carries with it tiny portions of each bladesmith that has undergone the art of the hammer? That somehow by a particular metaphysical force endows the spirit of the metal worker in each blade he has created. Is that entirely unprovable garbage? Perhaps, but then again, conceivably not. I cannot help but notice a difference whilst I hammer on a sword. As if in a particular sense I transcend and feel as if I have somehow, in some way or manner joined with the coal fire, steel, and hammer, even if it is only a brief feeling.
